Dustin Kelley is the current Vice President with the Vail Leadership Institute.
As the Vice President and a member of the Vail Leadership Institute’s Adjunct Faculty, Dustin oversees the Exploring Potential high school character development program, maintains the Leaders Network, is the liaison for the White River Council of Mentors and Advisors, initiates and facilitates the expansion of key Institute programs, and oversees managers on other Institute endorsed initiatives. Dustin has served many roles at the Institute starting as a program manager and later advancing to the Director of Development.
Dustin is also the acting President and CEO of Scarpa LLC (formerly Bedrock Creamery LLC) dba Marble Slab Creamery in conjunction with Global Franchise Group. The organization expanded its reach from a single retail outlet in 2004 to four locations throughout Colorado by 2007.
Dustin’s arrival to the Vail Valley came in 2003 as the Partnership Manager for the Vail Valley Chamber & Tourism Bureau. This community based organization allowed for a specialized effort towards the unification of Vail Valley businesses with a common goal of working together as one Valley.
From 2001 to 2003, Dustin grew from an Account Executive in Denver to the Local Sales Manager for Comcast Spotlight (formerly AT&T Media Services). The position oversaw the development and growth of five television advertising sales offices in Steamboat Springs, Vail, Glenwood Springs, Winter Park and Summit County. Dustin earned the coveted Star of Excellence Award in Dec 2001 as the top salesperson in the region.
His prior employment history includes Sadler & Dorchester Advertising and Marketing, Winter Park Recreation Association, and Kroenke Sports.
Dustin earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and minor in Economics from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO. He went on to earn his Master of Business Administration from Regis University in Denver, CO. Dustin is currently enrolled at Regent University's School of Global Leadership & Entrepreneurship in Virginia Beach, VA studying for his Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership with a focus on Entrepreneurial Leadership.
Having had the opportunity to live in every corner of Colorado, Dustin has adopted many of the outdoor activities native to the State – including skiing/snowboarding, mountain biking, fly fishing and mountain climbing.
Dustin resides in Eagle, CO with his wife Heather and their two kids – Kayla and Ian.
